Wendy
Hospital Manager
Wendy is the Hospital Manager at Mountainside Animal Hospital and has been working in veterinary medicine since 2006. With nearly two decades of experience, she brings leadership, compassion, and a deep commitment to both her team and the patients they serve.
What Wendy loves most about her role is the teamwork and the relationships built along the way. She takes great pride in watching her team grow and succeed in the field, while also forming meaningful connections with clients and their pets.
One of her most memorable patient moments was assisting with a litter of kittens delivered via C-section, where one kitten initially showed no signs of life. After focusing on the other littermates, the team later heard faint mewing. The kitten had miraculously revived and went on to become a beloved "miracle kitty" that the owners kept and continued to bring to the clinic.
Outside of work, Wendy enjoys camping, boating, reading, drawing, crafting, and baking, and has recently taken up the art of sourdough. She feels most at peace outdoors, whether in her yard or deep in the forest.
Wendy shares her home with her husband, son, and Ringo, her 70-pound mixed-breed dog who was rescued from Houston. While he prefers his close-knit circle and is not fond of strangers or the vet, he is a loyal and loving companion.
Her favorite animal is the horse, and if she could have any imaginary animal, it would be a dragon, because how could you not choose a dragon?
Her favorite quotes include, "You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think" -Winnie the Pooh and "A little consideration, a little thought for others, makes all the difference." -Eeyore
