Mia

Mia has been working in veterinary medicine since August 2021 and is passionate about providing gold standard patient care. She loves being part of a team that always puts patients' best interests first, making Mountainside the perfect place to continue her career.

One of Mia's favorite parts of veterinary medicine is caring for high-risk anesthesia patients. She finds it incredibly rewarding to guide pets safely through surgery and recovery before reuniting them with their families.

In 2023, Mia spent two and a half weeks volunteering in Cambodia, where she worked alongside multiple veterinary hospitals and the rescue organization Animals of Our World. It was an unforgettable experience that further strengthened her passion for veterinary medicine.

Outside of work, Mia enjoys attending Renaissance Faires, creating vet wrap bandage art, reading, solving puzzles, building LEGO sets, and playing Disney Dreamlight Valley. She's also the proud owner of Floki, her 4½-year-old Husky mix, affectionately nicknamed "Mr. Bombastic Side Eye," who developed an amusing obsession with marshmallows after accidentally eating one.

A devoted sushi lover, Mia enjoys it at least once or twice a week and dreams of one day having a dragon as a pet because of their loyalty, protectiveness, and ability to fly.
