Mia

Mia is a Licensed Veterinary Technician who joined Mountainside Animal Hospital in July 2026. She has been working in veterinary medicine since August 2021 and is passionate about providing exceptional patient care. She was drawn to Mountainside because of the team's commitment to practicing gold standard medicine, where every decision is made with the pet's best interest at heart.

One of the most rewarding parts of Mia's job is caring for patients undergoing anesthesia. She deeply values the trust that owners place in the veterinary team during these moments and finds it incredibly fulfilling to watch pets safely recover and reunite with their families after surgery.

In 2023, Mia spent two and a half weeks volunteering in Cambodia, working alongside multiple veterinary hospitals and the rescue organization Animals of Our World. The experience strengthened her passion for veterinary medicine and remains one of the most meaningful experiences of her career.

Outside of work, Mia enjoys attending Renaissance Faires, creating artwork using veterinary bandage wrap, reading, completing puzzles, building LEGO sets, and playing video games—especially Disney Dreamlight Valley. She's also a self-proclaimed sushi enthusiast and happily enjoys it one or two times every week.

Mia shares her home with Floki, her 4½-year-old Husky mix. Affectionately nicknamed "Mr. Bombastic Side Eye," Floki developed a hilarious obsession with marshmallows after accidentally eating one, and now comes running anytime he hears a marshmallow bag open.

If she could have any animal as a pet, Mia would choose a dragon for its loyalty, protectiveness, and, of course, the ability to fly. Her favorite quote is, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." — Walt Disney.
